Author Spotlight — Joanne Fluke
Happy Friday cozy mystery lovers! I’m back with another author spotlight and I’m sure many of you are very familiar with this author.
First let me apologize for my absence I have been very sick and snowed under with work but I am fully recovered and have met my work deadline!
Now I want to talk about the wonderful Joanne Fluke who was the second author I discovered in my cozy mystery journey. Joanne is the author of the Hannah Swensen mystery series and is considered the Queen of the Culinary Cozy Mystery and I would have to agree. There are 29 books in this series and a few of her books are been turned into movies on the Hallmark Mysteries & Movies channel. Her first book Chocolate Cookie Murder hooked me and I’ve been an ardent fan of this series every since. I pre-order every book and look forward to visiting Lake Eden every year.
I actually got to meet Joanne Fluke in person when she came to my local bookstore on her book tour for one of her books ( I forget which one) and she was very warm and friendly. She was funny and gave great in sight into her process. It was great to know that not every recipe in her book are her own but fans of Mrs. Fluke send her recipes and when she uses one she gives credit by making the person who sent the recipe a Lake Eden resident. It almost makes me wish I could cook and bake!
The Hannah Swensen mysteries are fun to read and with the exception of a few books I’ve never really been disappointed and never felt like it was time wasted with this…
