Fall Fashion File #3 — Boot Season!

Happy last Friday of October fellow fashionistas and fashion lovers! For those of you who love Halloween I hope you’re all set with your costume, parties, and if you have kids treat or tricking! Of course it wouldn’t be a fashion post from me if I didn’t include one about the true love of my life….SHOES! Or in this case boots/booties.

While many call Fall cozy season and pumpkin spice season I think of this time of year as layering season and boot/bootie season which means tight season! I am blessed to live in a state where my boots tend to the more fashionable than functional since my state rarely experiences any significance snow fall. I know boots and booties can be worn year round but for me Fall is all about the boot whether it is a bootie, at the knee, over the knee or thigh high boots. If you’re someone who doesn’t like to wear skirts or dresses above the knee then this is the season to do it and pair it with thigh high boots which will complete the outfit!

For my wide calf fashionistas out there I see you, I hear you, and I am one of you. In the past I tended to add booties to my shoe closet rather than boots because it is so hard to find wide calf boots but I am happy to say that is changing every season and more and more brands are introducing wide calf boots. Of course Eloquii, Lane Bryant, JustFab, and Fashion to Figure never disappoint when it comes to fashionable and stylish boots for wide calves.
