Just Add a Kimono

Hello Southernistas! So I woke up and wasn’t feeling my best so my original outfit plan was this Eloquii black pencil skirt I got in I think my first ever Dia & Co box some years ago. You can never go wrong with a black pencil skirt it makes people think you spent a lot of time on your look. I added this black tank from Catos which is really shapewear and I had originally added a cute navy crochet cardigan with my trusty black pumps but when I looked in the mirror I just felt like I was ready to attend a funeral! It was just too much dark colors on top of dark colors so I decided to trade the navy cardigan for this pink kimono I got from Lane Bryant (online) earlier this month and what a difference this kimono makes! This took my look from boring to hot and sexy and it definitely lifted my spirits!

It’s not always about wearing the most complicated or busy piece of clothing you have although there is nothing wrong with that at all but you can elevate the simplest look by just adding a colorful kimono.
