Wearing a Crop Top
Hi Southernistas! I hope everyone’s had a great week and will have an even better weekend. I am especially looking forward to this weekend because we finally have warm weather this weekend!
Let’s talk about crop tops! Now crop tops are not really my thing and not because I am afraid of showing my tummy it’s just that crop tops don’t really fit my style aesthetic which is a modest style. However as I grow in my style journey I realize that while not every fashion trend or style is for me I do like to push myself outside my comfort zone and that is just what I did when I bought a cropped sweater from Fashion to Figure over the winter. I realized that crop tops come in varying lengths and they can be worn regardless of style aesthetic. If you’ve wanted to wear a crop top but are nervous of showing your bare belly don’t be nervous invest in high waisted skirts, pants, leggings, and the list goes on. The high waist of the bottoms you wear will give you coverage and comfort. Crop tops can also be worn under sundresses and sleeveless tops if you’re still not comfortable showing your arms without you sacrificing comfort. If you work in an office you will still be able to rock your crop top and be office appropriate.
This week started out very cold so I pulled out my cropped sweater and wore a high waisted pencil skirt I got from Ashley Stewart and stepped out for work ready to take on the world! Since it is still a crop top even with a high waisted bottom your abs will still be on display if you choose to wear a pencil skirt but if you’re not ready for that…
