All Fudged Up (Book 1 — A Candy-Cody Mystery) by Nancy Coco

This series has been on my radar for over a year but never quite made it on to my TBR list so I was happy when this was the June pick for one of my book clubs. I didn’t finish it in time for book club so I couldn’t fully participate in the discussion and thankfully no one gave away who the murderer was!

I can honestly say I hate that I am just now reading the first book in this series (there are currently 10 books) because this is such a great book.

I really enjoyed the mystery. I would classify this as a slightly dark cozy mystery. Callie Padget finds herself back home on Cattail Island after she is laid off from her job at a reporter with the Charlotte newspaper worked at and working at The Mother Vine Bookshop. Cattail Island was not where she wanted to be with memories of her mother who died…
