Wednesday Reads — August 9, 2023
HAPPY BOOK LOVER’S DAY! That’s right today is National Book Lover’s Day and how perfect that it falls on a Wednesday when I get to share with all my fellow book lovers the books I’m reading, have read and plan to read.
As I shared in my last post I’ve deemed August the month of Ellery Adams and reading books from three of her series and it is going really well. I’ve had to literally make myself stop reading at night so I want to a zombie at work the next day and it hasn’t been easy to work when all I want to do it keep reading. It’s not easy but I am exercising discipline and I am so glad I decided to do this and I am already thinking about what author I want to read for August 2024.
Finished Reading
So even though I declared August Ellery Adams month but I started reading A Call for Kelp by Bree Baker (aka Julie Anne Lindsey) book 4 in her Seaside Cafe mystery series and didn’t finish reading until August. I love this series and I read a book every year because there are seven books in this series and I’m just drawing it out. This was another five star read for me and I always enjoy visiting Charm, NC and sleuthing along with Everly Swan. This was a page turner with a lot of suspects and red herrings but it was never hard for me to follow the mystery and of course I didn’t guess the killer because that is how good a writer Julie Anne…
