Wednesday Reads — Ellery Adams Reading Wrap Up
Hello fellow book lovers! Well here we are ready to say good-bye to August (wow) and hello to September (double wow). I can’t believe we are in the waning days of summer just 24 days till Fall is upon us.
I decided not to do my weekly Wednesday reading wrap up last week since I’ve dedicated this month to reading one of my favorite cozy mystery author, Ellery Adams, all month long with the exception of one of my book club picks. I found out at the beginning of this month that Ellery’s birthday is also in August so I feel like I’m honoring her birthday by reading her books.
Ellery has authored several different cozy mystery series but for this month I read books from three of her series: Books by the Bay series (8 books), Book Retreat series (9 books) and The Secret, Book, & Scone Society series (6). Her series she writes or has written are her Charmed Pie Shop series, Hope Street Church series, and Supper Club series to name a few.
As I’ve stated more than once I love this author and I like to think of her mysteries as cozies with an edge since they can be a little dark. Her heroines are smart, independent, and really strong with a streak of vulnerability they only reveal to a few trusted people. They are survivors and fiercely protective of those they love and when they give their heart to a man they don’t do it…
