Hello cozy mystery and book lovers! I am finally getting back into the swing of things and as I stated previously January was not a great reading month for me. I spent the remainder of January very sick and very snowed under at work so I didn’t do a lot of reading. I actually read four books last month but they were four really great books.

I had set a goal for January to read books that have been on my TBR pile for a year or more and since it was January I specifically decided to read the first book of cozy mystery series I’ve been wanting to read for some time.

Hopefully February will be a much better reading month!

The Uninvited Corpse (A Food Blogger Mystery Series — Book 1) by Debra Sennefelder

I gave this first book in the food blogger mystery series four big stars! There are five books in this series and I hope there are more to come!

When Peaches showed up at her friend Amanda Bloom’s garden party and book launch uninvited and is murdered Hope Early’s sister becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her real estate rival Peaches McCoy. Hope knows her sister is a lot of things but a killer is not one of them! I really enjoyed this book and I always think of Hope as a mash up of Martha Stewart and Jessica Fletcher. I couldn’t put this book down and found the mystery fast moving with plenty of suspects and red herrings.

Penne Dreadful (An Italian Chef Mystery Series Book 1) by Catherine Bruns
