Why Confidence Is Your Best Statement

Hello and TGIF Southernistas! I feel like I’ve been chasing myself this week but Friday is here and I am ready to rest, relax, and recharge this weekend oh and do laundry and possibly start working on transitioning my closet from sprint/summer to fall/winter (we’ll see).

It is an often quoted cliché that the sexiest thing a woman can wear is confidence and by now we’ve heard it so much especially from surgically enhanced celebs that this particular saying has, I think, lost any significant meaning it truly has. I remember rolling my eyes so much when I hear men, celebrities, influencers, and some friends quote this because I kept thinking “yeah right!” But as I’ve grown into who I am I realize that yes confidence is the the best fashion statement.

When I started out on my fashion/style journey almost nine years ago I didn’t have any confidence in myself so I didn’t have confidence in any fashion choices. Confidence in who we are plays a big role in everything! I’ve learned that when you empower yourself you become more confident and when you become more confident you will no longer settle for life’s scraps.

You will not settle for just anyone because they paid you a miniscule of attention in other words you will cut toxic people out of your life weather it is a romantic, friend, or familial relationship you simply will not tolerate their toxicity in your life. You will no longer accept back handed and empty compliments, being the butt of cruel jokes, being manipulated, or anyone playing mind…
